Other Forms of Support for Domestic Violence Recovery Programs
Not everyone has the financial resources to donate directly to Advocates Against Family Violence (AAFV), but many people still ask us how they can help. Donations of commonly used supplies in our emergency shelter and transitional housing programs helps our clients have a safe, comfortable place to be while finding secure, permanent housing. These locations rely on donations of items from our Wish List.
Fulfilling Wish List needs can be done on an individual basis when you simply pick up a few extra supplies while doing your own shopping, or those needs can be filled on a larger scale by organizing a donation drive.

Hosting A Donation Drive for Shelters, Housing, and Outreach Based in Caldwell, ID
If you, your friends, your neighbors, or your church group wish to make a larger group donation to our housing programs, the easiest way is by hosting a donation drive. This is when you notify the entire group about what kinds of donations you are collecting, arrange collection of those donations, and arrange drop-off with Advocates Against Family Violence.
You can call (208) 459-6330 for additional details on high priority needs and how to get donations to the proper AAFV contact.

In-Kind Donations
If you work for or own a business that offers charitable services, we would love to work with you. For example, hair stylists and barbers might offer free haircuts to shelter residents, restaurants might help with emergency food needs for victims who were forced to leave domestic abuse situations, and home supply stores might offer bulk discounts for the large purchases AAFV makes to keep Hope’s Door shelter, Hope Lane Learning Center, and Hope Plaza up and running.
If there is a service you and your company can provide, contact AAFV at (208) 459-6330.
Every bit helps, and ever helping hand is a part of a growing community of support. Your donation may be a haircut for a victim, but your gift is one of confidence, self respect, and courage that will ripple out through your community. Thank you for thinking of Advocates Against Family Violence.
