Faces of Hope Luncheon

The Faces of Hope Luncheon is the Advocates Against Family Violence’s fundraiser benefiting Hope’s Door Shelter, Hope Lane Learning Center, and programs for women and children to thrive after domestic abuse and sexual violence.  At this one hour luncheon, you will learn about domestic abuse in our community and how AAFV provides the hope, healing, and strength necessary for women and children to start a new violence free life.

Email Breean at breean@aafvhop.org to attend or be a luncheon sponsor.

Men in Top Tiers

Each year, Advocates Against Family Violence supports and recognizes positive male role models in our community. Men who set an example for healthy relationships and selfless service to others are critical in the lives of children and the future of strong families. The goal of this event is to acknowledge those men that are “Top Tier” role models.

On May 10, 2018, Stinker Stores presented over $137,000 to six Idaho domestic violence service providers, Advocates Against Family Violence, Family Services Alliance, Rose Advocates, The Advocates, Women’s and Children’s Alliance, and the YWCA – Lewiston.   They are the recipients of the 2018 Piece of Hope Fundraising and Awareness Campaign to benefit children impacted by the trauma of domestic and sexual violence.

The “Piece of Hope” fundraising and awareness campaign took place April 9 to May 6, 2018, at all Stinker locations throughout Idaho.  During the campaign, customers at all Stinker locations donated funds and learned about organizations in or near their communities with programming that benefits children who have been impacted by domestic violence and/or sexual abuse.

The generosity of the Stinker customers exceeded expectations and surpassed the campaign fundraising goal by 30%. The $137,000 will be used to fund services and programs throughout the state that specifically focus on the children who are being exposed to violence in their homes or are being subjected to abuse themselves.

Thank you Stinker Stores!
