AAFV Outreach Program
Our Outreach Advocates provide in-person classes and support groups for families who have experienced abuse. Our Outreach Program provides training and resources to community professionals to promote sexual and domestic violence awareness, prevention, appropriate trauma responses, self-advocacy skills, and trauma-informed parenting skills.
Victims of domestic abuse encounter significant challenges on their journey to freedom. AAFV Service Specialists train and dedicate themselves to guiding participants through these difficulties. By working one-on-one, our staff identifies participants’ strengths and barriers, crafting tailored plans that empower them to achieve their goals. Our Service Specialists focus on overcoming obstacles in crucial areas such as: – Education – Employement – Basic Needs – Safety Planning – Housing – Transportation – Court Advocacy – Children’s Services.

Our goal is to breathe hope into hearts and healing into lives.
Our Youth Advocates facilitate and organize events and workshops for young people to discuss unhealthy relationships and learn tools that promote resilience, healing, and peer to peer advocacy. Youth Advocates are available to facilitate one on one services, as well as in person/online workshops in classroom settings, faith based groups, juvenile detention centers and more. In addition we offer in-person, educational healthy relationship support groups on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons for youth ages 10-17.
